Navigation Station
Hamilton's Navigation Station has the latest navigation and communications equipment fitted.
Paper charts are used alongside electronic equivalents to balance reliability with the advantages modern technology can offer.
In summer 2000 we installed second computer and an on-board network. This upgrading will allow charts to be shown on deck so you can track your progress whilst enjoying the view. This computer network will also allow DVD films or music to be enjoyed separately in the aft cabin. Network ports are supplied in the stateroom and saloon.
For those who cannot afford to break entirely from business during their vacation, there is the opportunity to work on your own laptop and connect to the network in order to communicate via Hamilton's mobile communication systems. The huge advances to be introduced over the next 2 years in mobile communication will massively increase the capabilities of these systems. Hamilton will be kept fully up to date in this rapidly advancing field.
